The Customer Experience & Technical Support resume: every KPI, formula, and pattern
The 7 numbers that carry this resume
Every customer experience & technical support bullet gets stronger with one of these. The benchmark tells you what's worth claiming; the question helps you dig your real number out.
What was your CSAT, and what was the team target? Beating target matters more than the raw number.
What share of issues did you resolve on the first contact, versus your team's average?
Did your handle time beat the team average or drop over time? From what to what?
What did you score on call/ticket quality audits, over how many months?
Did escalations or repeat contacts drop because of something you did? By how much?
How many contacts a day, for how large a customer base or queue?
Where did you rank in your team or program? Rank works when exact numbers are confidential.
Bullet formulas
Structure first, wording second. Fill the brackets with your own numbers.
Strong verb + what you did + how (tool/method) + quantified result.Weak: "Responsible for resolving customer issues." Strong: "Reduced average resolution time from 4 hours to 90 minutes by creating troubleshooting scripts adopted by the full 25-agent queue."No official numbers? Use rank, scale, or before/after: "top 5% of a 60-agent team", "108% of CSAT target".
Verbs that read like ownership
Weak phrase → stronger pattern
"Handled" is a duty. Volume + a KPI makes it an achievement.
Name what you supported and how well — "provided support" says nothing a title doesn't.
Answering is the job; resolving at volume with a score is the achievement.
Add the cohort size and the outcome — training without results is attendance.
Specify the issue class and the resolution metric.
"High" is your opinion; the number against target is evidence.
Keywords screens look for
Use the ones that are true for you — keyword stuffing reads as noise to a human on the other side. The studio tracks your coverage live.
Before you send it
- Promotion shown as stacked titles under one company header, with the word "Promoted" and the reason
- One metric bullet first under every role — the top bullet gets read in the 7-second scan
- Both acronym and full form once each: "First Call Resolution (FCR)", "Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)"
- Real award names (quarterly R&R, Wall of Fame) instead of "received awards"
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification — cheap, high-ROI ATS keyword for support roles
- Named tools: the exact CRM, remote-support tool, and OS versions you worked with
- Languages spoken — genuinely relevant for India support hiring
