The Digital Marketing resume: every KPI, formula, and pattern
The 7 numbers that carry this resume
Every digital marketing bullet gets stronger with one of these. The benchmark tells you what's worth claiming; the question helps you dig your real number out.
How much ad spend did you own per month, across which channels?
What ROAS did your campaigns hold, and what was the target or break-even?
What did you pay per lead/acquisition, and what did you cut it from?
What did organic sessions or target-keyword rankings do on your watch, over how long?
Which test or page rebuild moved conversion, from what to what?
What audience did you grow, by how much, and what did it convert into?
What revenue did campaigns you owned drive, by the attribution your company used?
Bullet formulas
Structure first, wording second. Fill the brackets with your own numbers.
Strong verb + channel/campaign + budget context + result metric against target.Weak: "Managed social media accounts and ran ad campaigns." Strong: "Scaled Meta + Google spend from ₹4L to ₹15L/month at a sustained 3.8x ROAS, driving 42% of Q3 revenue."Confidential numbers? Use ratios and deltas: "cut CPL 38%", "2.1x list growth", "held ROAS above target for 5 straight quarters".
Verbs that read like ownership
Weak phrase → stronger pattern
Managing an account is logging in. Growth, engagement, and leads are the job.
Campaigns without spend and return are just activity.
Content is measured by what it ranked or converted, not that it exists.
Awareness without a number is a mood. Pick the metric that stood in for it.
State the amount and the operating rhythm — that's what seniority sounds like.
SEO claims need the delta, the window, and the mechanism.
Keywords screens look for
Use the ones that are true for you — keyword stuffing reads as noise to a human on the other side. The studio tracks your coverage live.
Before you send it
- Monthly budget owned in the first two lines — it's the fastest seniority signal in marketing
- ROAS/CPA always paired with the target or break-even, so the number has meaning
- One named campaign story: channel, budget, result, and what you'd repeat
- Attribution honesty: label numbers by their model (platform vs GA4 vs revenue-attributed)
- Screenshots→numbers rule: anything a dashboard showed, the resume can claim precisely
- Certifications with year (Google Ads, GA4, Meta Blueprint) — screeners still filter on them
- Portfolio or campaign one-pagers linked for creative-heavy roles
